Kids Discovery Factory (KDF) is proud to announce the expansion of its staff. Dawn Koch of Oldenburg accepts the role of Museum Educator, leading weekly Early Explorer play hours and other on-site programming.
Dawn Koch is a homeschool facilitator, Safe Sitter Licensed Instructor, and owner of Enchanted Childhood, LLC. She has been engaged in children's programming in some capacity for over 30 years and is an enthusiastic play-based educator. Dawn has earned a BA in Writing Process, Children’s Literature, and Curriculum Development and an MA in Transformative Writing Process. She also holds a Certificate in Early Childhood Administration. She is a certified AHA-BLS Instructor and is certified in CPR and First Aid. Dawn enjoys reading, nature, travel, writing, activism, and spending time with her family.
The Museum Educator position is support by the Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) 25th Anniversary Grant. RCCF awarded Kids Discovery Factory a $10,000 grant this summer to expand play hours and other on-site programming.
