New Board Member, Brett Hofer

Kids Discovery Factory welcomes Brett Hofer to serve on the Board of Directors. Brett currently serves as Director of Sales at Batesville Tool & Die, where he has worked for more than a decade in a variety of leadership roles. He has held the director position since early 2025, following two years as Sales Manager. In his 11 years with the company, Brett has helped strengthen customer relationships and drive business growth while supporting a culture of teamwork and innovation.

Before transitioning into manufacturing and sales, Brett began his career in education. A graduate of Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, he taught for five years in the Batesville Community School Corporation, first at Batesville Primary School and later at Batesville Intermediate School. His background in the classroom shaped his commitment to inspiring curiosity and learning in children—a passion that connects directly to the mission of Kids Discovery Factory.

In addition to his professional work, Brett serves on the Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg/Batesville Campus Board, where he contributes to advancing local higher education opportunities. His blend of business experience, educational background, and community service uniquely positions him to support Kids Discovery Factory’s growth and outreach.

Brett lives in Batesville with his family and looks forward to helping the museum create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for children across the region.
